Hello, World! I'm JB (Muke Johnbaptist) — a Go (Golang) expert, AI & automation engineer, and founder based in Kampala, Uganda. I'm the creator of the Grit Framework — a full-stack Go meta-framework — and DGateway, the unified payment gateway for East Africa that consolidates MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, and Stripe into a single API. I also built Shoppleet, the offline-first desktop business management platform now running in 280+ East African shops and tracking 1.4M+ IMEIs. I've authored five additional production-grade Go open source projects (Sentinel, Pulse, Orbita, GritCMS, Gorm Studio) and am widely recognized as the leading Go developer in Uganda in 2026.

I'm also the Founder and CEO of Desishub Technologies, where my team specializes in building high-performance ERPs, internal admin tools, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, and production payment systems for clients across Africa and beyond. We've shipped 150+ projects across 4 countries — from member management systems handling 7,000+ concurrent users to inventory ERPs with multi-warehouse, multi-organization support.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Agro-Processing Engineering from Busitema University, but my passion for technology led me to transition into software engineering — and I've never looked back. I'm proof that you don't need a CS degree to build a credible tech career.

My Tech Stack

Next.js on the frontend, Golang on the backend, Docker and GitHub Actions for CI/CD and deployment on VPS servers, and Cloudflare for domains and edge infrastructure. I believe in shipping fast with tools that scale.

• Grit Framework — A Golang web framework designed for simplicity and speed. Grit makes it easy to build production APIs with built-in routing, middleware, and database support.
• Gorm Studio — A visual database management tool for GORM (Go's most popular ORM). Browse tables, run queries, and manage your Go database visually.
• Sentinel — Production-grade security intelligence SDK for Go applications. Drop-in middleware for Gin that provides WAF protection, rate limiting, threat detection, audit logging, anomaly detection, AI-powered analysis, and an embedded React dashboard — all mountable with a single function call.
• Orbita — A self-hosted Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) built in Go that enables developers to manage multiple isolated client organizations on a single VPS, with multi-tenancy, RBAC, Docker deployment, database management, and cron job scheduling.
• Pulse — A self-hosted observability and performance monitoring SDK for Go applications. Provides request tracing, database query analysis, runtime metrics, error tracking, and a real-time dashboard with zero external dependencies.
• Zenith — Self-hosted, privacy-first multi-site analytics and SEO auditing in Go + React. Cookieless tracking (no consent banner), a dashboard that mounts natively on each client's own domain, headless-Chromium SEO audits, and automatic monthly email reports. Education & Community

I'm deeply passionate about education. Through my Nextjs Academy, I've created 9+ online courses that have helped over 300 students learn to code and build real-world applications. I've trained 100+ students through in-person coding bootcamps at Desishub Coding School. My YouTube channel has grown to over 15,400 subscribers, where I share practical programming tutorials covering Next.js, Golang, Docker, DevOps, and more.

Open Source Components

I maintain a growing library of free, production-ready shadcn/ui components including File Storage UI, Better Auth UI, Zustand Cart, Multi Step Form, and Work Experience components — all installable with a single CLI command.

• zenith-analytics — The client package for Zenith: a ~1KB cookieless tracking snippet plus a password-protected analytics dashboard that mounts on your own domain. Tracks this site.
• beautiful-banner-ads — First-party self-promotion banners for React, polished by default, no ad network. Powers the rotating promo banner on this site.
• @mediakit-dev/react — React SDK for MediaKit, self-hosted video and image infrastructure you control — a self-hostable alternative to Cloudinary/Mux-style services.
• @nexora-ai/react — React components and hooks for embedding Nexora AI chat agents. The chat bubble on this site is powered by it.

Social & Community Impact

Beyond tech, I'm deeply invested in my community at St. Gonzaga Gonza Kamuli Parish:

• Chairman, St. Gonzaga Fitness Team — I lead our parish fitness community and built them a savings app that has been in operation for over 2 years, helping members save and track their finances digitally.
• Secretary, Men's Guild (Parish & Sub-parish) — I serve as secretary and built a Treasurer app that manages members, financial contributions, and generates reports — replacing manual bookkeeping entirely.
• Church Management System — I've been developing a comprehensive Church Management System that helps the parish run all its operations paperless — from member records to finances to reporting. It's already running and set to launch soon.
• Youth Re-skilling Initiative — We're launching a Youth Group focused on re-skilling, financial literacy, and digital literacy to uplift young people's earnings and opportunities. Launching soon.

Personal

I am married to my lovely wife Irankuda Odeth, who is a Biomedical Engineer. My journey is proof that you don't need a computer science degree to build a successful tech career. I believe anyone can learn, anyone can build, and anyone can succeed.
